We are facing an epidemic of pornography on the net of which the repercussions are still not fully understood. And it is frightening. With the click of a mouse, anyone, at any age, anytime can view porn online.
Governments are still tied up by the “it is a free-speech issue” argument. The porn industry has were able to hold onto the idea that porn is victimless entertainment which involves only the user and the consenting adults who participate. The law has yet to catch up with reality and with technology. In a global where anyone can produce and upload porn videos or images, the web has become filled to the brim with hardcore pornography and disturbing content that nobody should be exposed to, let alone our children!
A report from the Witherspoon Institute in Princeton, N.J.,entitled, “The Social Costs of Pornography” points to new social science and brain research, and finds evidence that pornography causes multifaceted harms and warns that people will pay the price for this.
Porn is teaching negative behaviors and attitudes towards sexuality. Even though for 툰코 is often a big problem, for children which are seeing it, this can be a disaster that can impact their ability to have any sort of healthy sexual relationship when they grow up.
There is no level of education or warning that may prevent children from viewing pornography on the Internet today. The average child will dsicover porn by age eleven online. Children are curious, children share links by email, by chat, on smart phones… The only real solution today is to install a porn filter on each computer your child has access to. At home, friends, grandparents, school, the library, make certain a porn filter is installed on the computer. Demand it. It’s not going to go away if you ignore it.
