Descendents Announce New Album ‘Hypercaffium Spazzinate’ Out July 29

Highly acclaimed punk outfit Descendents have announced their latest album, Hypercaffium Spazzinate, out July 29th via Epitaph Records. In anticipation of the group’s forthcoming effort, the band has released the single “Victim of Me”. The track can be listened to below.

The upcoming record marks the band’s first Epitaph release since 1996’s Everything Sucks, with much of this being attributed to the band’s extended hiatus. The break came to an end in 2010, with the band finally beginning to play shows again and thus, putting together the pieces for Hypercaffium Spazzinate. Recording and preparation for the group’s upcoming album found each of the band members living apart from one another, with frontman & vocalist Milo Aukerman saying the following “I think one of the things that’s kept us inspired over the years is having the music as an outlet for our frustrations, having the freedom to completely blow my voice out every time I recorded was a very positive experience for me.”

The Descendents have gained significant notoriety since initially forming in 1978 and hope to further this notoriety and acclaim throughout the summer, with the group playing the Punk Rock Bowling Festival in June, Riot Fest in Denver and Chicago as well as Picnic in Pozo, all taking place in September.

Hypercaffium Spazzinate can be pre-ordered here. Further tour dates are expected to be announced soon, and a full tracklist for the upcoming record can be found below.
