An exciting new conglomerate, D.A.R.K. (Dolores O’Riordan, Andy Rourke, Olé Koretsky) have announced a release date for their debut album Science Agrees, due out September 9th via Cooking Vinyl. The album announcement comes in the wake of the group’s two singles “Curvy” and “Loosen the Noose“, both released to great acclaim.
D.A.R.K. comes from a unique meeting of the minds. Dolores O’Riordan has sold over 40 million albums throughout her illustrious career, chiefly as frontwoman of The Cranberries. Andy Rourke has served as bassist for the incomparable British group The Smiths. The third member, Olé Koretsky has gained significant notoriety as a songwriter and DJ throughout the NYC area.
The group has effortlessly blended these differing backgrounds and approaches via their two singles and seek to continue this trend with Science Agrees. The outfit’s differing backgrounds gradually became meshed and integrated in what is sure to be an assured, nuanced effort. The record deals with weighty topics such as isolation, disconnection, drug addiction, love, and loss of faith.
The lead single “Curvy” can be streamed below.
