Viennese Group H U N G E R Aim For Love With Latest Record, Video

The result of blending synth-pop with indie rock stylings, Austrian group H U N G E R are set to release a series of videos for each track of their forthcoming full-length debut For Love, due out August 19th. The video for the leading single “Gravity” is now available and can be viewed below.

Undoubtedly cinematic in scope and aesthetically appealing, the widely acclaimed Christian Lamb serves as director for the video. This increase in scope and cinematic tendencies prove fitting for the group, which originally intended to make music exclusively for films. Vocalist Lucas Fendrich provides the following “When we first got together, the idea was to write songs for movie soundtracks—we weren’t planning to be a band that would perform live”.

With “Gravity” the band has retained their cinematic roots while expanding into a prolific blend of the pop, alternative, and rock genres. These ideals of wide accessibility and a more nuanced approach is evidenced with the band’s name, H U N G E R, a word which everyone in the world is familiar with, albeit for different reasons. The word evokes a number of reactions and emotional responses from audiences of all kinds, and the group hopes to catalyze a similar reaction with their upcoming release For Love. A full tracklist is provided below.
