Tightly equipped with her blunt, unrelenting humor and her admiration for the loaded gun that is the “Christian sleepover,” Rachel Feinstein debuts her new album Only Whores Wear Purple. The set is performed in front of a live, NYC audience and comes via Comedy Central Records.
Capitalizing off of her acclaim via The Half Hour, Feinstein is keen to embody character types while on set, of which include her overbearing mother, famed porn star Jenna Jameson, and her alarmingly precocious middle school crush, to name a few.
The publications Paste and Splitsider spoke to Feinstein about the record, which is available by most streaming services, and can be listened to in its entirety here. In addition to the number of streaming services providing the album, the set can be viewed in its uncensored entirety via the Comedy Central app and cc.com.
Comedy Central’s “Stand-Up Central”, their recent commemoration of all things stand-up, concludes on May 3 with the release of Chris Hardwick’s Funcomfortable. The network’s reputation undoubtedly precedes itself, with a collection of albums from highly acclaimed comics such as; Amy Schumer, Daniel Tosh, Kevin Hart, Aziz Ansari, Hannibal Buress, Louis C.K., Jim Gaffigan, Tracy Morgan, Patton Oswalt, Nate Bargatze, John Mulaney, Marc Maron, Natasha Leggero, Chris Hardwick, and more.
