Red Sun Rising’s “Emotionless” Goes #1 On Billboard Mainstream Rock, Makes History

Red Sun Rising, undoubtedly the pride of Cleveland’s burgeoning rock scene, have made history on the Billboard charts. The group is the first independent artist in over a decade to feature back to back #1 singles on Billboard’s mainstream rock chart. The outfit’s dual meteors come courtesy of their debut EP Polyester Zeal via Razor & Tie. The band has become increasingly familiar with praise, being awarded “New Artist of the Year” at the 2016 Radio Contraband Awards soon after the release of their first single “The Otherside.”

The music video for their newest chart-topper “Emotionless” can be viewed below.

The outfit’s label, Razor & Tie, only continued this string of laudation directed towards the band “Red Sun Rising is one of the most exciting rock bands to emerge in recent years. Their success at radio is only the first step in bringing them to wide acclaim.  At Razor & Tie, we are committed to great new rock bands and we are proud to partner with Red Sun Rising.”

Razor & Tie are also find themselves the recipients of history, becoming the first indie label in nearly twenty years to feature back to back #1 hits from an artist’s debut album.

Certainly not resting on their laurels, Red Sun Rising are currently in the midst of a nationwide tour in commemoration of Polyester Zeal, with these more current dates coming after the conclusion of a Canadian tour with the groups Pop Evil and Smashing Satellites. The group’s tour will run throughout the summer, with shows in a number of states including Florida, New York, and Texas as well as a number of festivals nationwide. The group will play a number of shows with the alternative outfit Sick Puppies. A list of summer dates are provided below, and tickets can be ordered here
