Blue Healer Premieres Music Video for “Only The Rain”, Announces Summer Tour

Along with PopMatters, Austin-based infectiously indie trio Blue Healer is releasing their music video for their most recent single, “Only the Rain.” The single comes soon after the release “Luminescent Eyes”, which was exclusively debuted through Consequence of Sound (which can also be listened to here). The brand new music video for “Only The Rain” can be found here.

Blue Healer’s most recent release deftly takes equal parts 80’s-era pop ballads and contemporary indie and blends them together in a slow building track with a synthy payoff replete with crunchy yet appealing guitars and consistently strong vocals throughout. These two singles are in anticipation for the group’s full length debut, due out later this year.

Few taking in the effects of either Blue Healer’s music videos or live shows could argue that unadulterated joy does not take and remain in center stage. A generation and genre-spanning group outfitted with an upright bass, guitars, analog synths, and drums, Blue Healer’s lyricism shows a penchant for emotional time travel, with nuanced, yet all-too-familiar lyrics that take hold and refuse to detach, capitalizing on our memories in the best possible way.

The founding members of Blue Healer have all been throughout the Austin music scene for quite some time, with David Beck (bass/guitar/vox), Bryan Mammel (keys/vox) and Dees Stribling (drums/vox) formerly playing together in the group Sons of Fathers.
Blue Healer’s engrossing and saccharine-in-the-best-way show will be on national display throughout 2016, with a list of confirmed tour dates provided below.
