Boasting a sound which is every bit as neighborly and fraternal as the city they come from, Philly’s own Up the Chain debuted a music video for their new single “Departed Trains” yesterday (April 12th) before playing the first stop of their upcoming spring tour. Check out the video for “Departed Trains” below!
The group’s latest release has been extensively well received, with praise coming from Paste and Glide, among others. Within this new release, the group’s sound is undeniably more of a kick in the teeth than usual and this is likely the brainchild of the band’s newly arranged quartet, featuring singer/songwriter Reed Kendall, bassist Noah Skaroff, drummer Kirby Sybert, as well as John Hildenbrand on the keys.
At this rate, Up the Chain will not only serve as an intriguing and unique name, but perhaps as a metaphor for their trajectory throughout Philly and beyond.
The band’s spring tour is fittingly ambitious for the group, with stops in New York as well as shows in Nashville, Baltimore and other major cities before returning to play their native Philadelphia. A complete list of confirmed tour dates are listed below!
