Bullet For My Valentine Wakes The Demon In Philly

Last week Philadelphia got a taste of what British rock is all about. The British Invasion tour came through The Fillmore and left Philly begging for more. Bullet For My Valentine headlined the show turning the innocent venue into a powerhouse filled with moshing and shredding guitar riffs.

Opening the night was While She Sleeps, straight out of Sheffield, England. The five piece metal outfit took over the stage, playing a six song set including, “This Is The Six,” “Death Toll,” and “Four Walls.” Up next was Asking Alexandria. After the addition of Denis Stoff, the guys are showing no signs of slowing. Denis is curently taking over the lead role that was once Danny Worsnop’s and is showing his true talent while being able to fill his shoes better then Danny could himself.

Finally, Bullet For My Valentine, took the stage. As The Fillmore grew dark, the roar of the crowd grew louder. The screeching guitars came over the PA as the intro to “No Way Out,” began. Being no stranger to the scene Bullet took over the stage like it was a sold out arena, one song after the other they kept the crowd moving and begging for the next song. If you missed the guys on this run fear not, Bullet will be back around on the second leg of this tour starting in May. More details here.
