Parkway Drive premiered their new song, “Sound of Violence,” at Revolver on September 14th. This new single is from the band’s new album Ire, which is set to come out September 25th of this year on Epitaph.

The 5-piece metal band, originally from Australia, has released four studio albums, all on Epitaph. Including – Smile (2005), Horizons (2007), Deep Blue (2010), and Atlas (2012). Ire will be the fifth album, and Parkway Drive plans on going on a worldwide tour to promote it.

Lead Singer Winston McCall had this to say about the new album:

This is the soundtrack of our existence as a band. Every step we have taken has been down a path chosen by no one but ourselves. We write the music we want to hear, we dress the way we want to dress, we look the way we want to look, we go where we want to go and we play the shows we want to play. Our whole existence we have done things our way in the face of a chorus of voices and opinions telling us that it’s wrong and that we don’t belong. This is our answer, plain and simple.”

Besides the new album, Parkway Drive just announced two important things. One being, Ire will be available on Twitch September 19th, and the fans will have an opportunity to chat and play video games with the band as well – check out that link here.

Secondly, Parkway Drive also announced that they would be headed on Tour in North America during this Fall & Winter. Check out those dates below.
