For the singer/songwriter’s latest release, Koji traded in his signature acoustic niche for a backing band and a little help from producer Will Yip (Title Fight, Circa Survive, Blacklisted) mixing in blended indie sounds from bands that came before him.
Koji says that Fury was inspired by those bands that made finding and watching new music such a spirited experience. Be it small local shows or jamming too loud in your parent’s basement, in just four songs Fury attempts, and succeeds, in placing that feeling back into the listener of something just a little more personal and seemingly out of reach.
Fury feels fresh and Koji’s delivery is as cardiac derived as its ever been. The aptly named EP plays out fast and before you know it the track-list is starting over again with no qualms from anyone.
Pick up Koji’s Fury tomorrow via No Sleep Records and catch him out on The Vans Warped Tour this summer!
