Moose Blood Premieres New Video for “Gum”

On May 18th, Moose Blood premiered the video for “Gum”, their latest single off of the album I’ll Keep You In Mind, From Time To Time. This England born band put together an almost flawless video. Music videos in this age are almost a lost cause, producing the same apathetic or over done cinematography with bright lights and shots of the band, however Moose Blood does the exact opposite. The video follows a young boy who is completely drunk with infatuation over a girl and the actions of his day to day life. “Gum” already screams teenage angst and the video captures just that, giving an independent indie movie vibe. A perfect phrase to describe what I feel from the video: “Being a teenager might as well be a waste of time, but I rather waste that time with you.”

Check out the video on Alternative Press here:

As for the song alone goes, the band feels very attached to it. Vocalist Eddy Brewerton stated “Gum was one of the first songs we wrote for the record. It came together really easily and to me it means the world. I wrote the lyrics as I was getting to know my wife and all the little things that happened in those first few weeks.” As mentioned before, the track comes from their latest album I’ll Keep You In Mind, From Time To Time which is out now on No Sleep Records. The band is also gearing up for a bunch of tour dates this summer at Vans Warped Tour and with Taking Back Sunday, be sure to check the dates below.
