Winding down the whirlwind that has been Arizona-based The Maine’s latest album cycle for their fourth full length Forever Halloween, the band has announced their final shows of 2014. Appropriately titled after the album itself, Farewell, Forever Halloween comes as four individual shows this fall exclusively in select markets – Pomona, Boston, New York City, and Chicago. As a tribute to the album, each show will feature a special performance from the band – along with opening sets from guest acts.
The first of the shows kicks off in Pomona, California on October 16th and will feature a special guest performance by John Nolan (Taking Back Sunday and Straylight Run), a rare acoustic performance by My American Heart and a brand new 8123 artist soon to be announced.
On October 22nd the band will take to Paradise Rock Club in Boston, Massachusetts for a Farewell, Forever Halloween show with special guest opening act William Beckett (former frontman of The Academy Is…).
The band’s NYC appearance on October 23rd has already sold out Gramercy Theatre, with opening act US Royalty.
And finally, the Chicago date falls appropriately on Halloween itself; October 31st. This date was quick to sell out and will surely be one to remember for both fans and the band alike. A surprise 8123 guest will open the show.
The four performances come before the band hauls up in the studio to record their fifth full length album, due out early next year. They will be entering the recording process with longtime friend Colby Wedgeworth (producer of the band’s third album Pioneer and who also mixed Forever Halloween). These four final tour dates offer fans one last chance to experience the band’s record live before new material is released.
These shows come on the heels of the band’s final overseas tour of the year – which kicks off later this month in Amsterdam and sees them across the UK.
Two of the Farewell, Forever Halloween dates are already sold out, fans can pick up tickets for the remaining two at the links below.
